A few weeks ago we attended the British Tumbling semi finals in Birmingham where Deeside gymnast Ella Bothwell qualified to compete at the finals which took place on July 7th.
Ella competed in the motorpoint arena in Nottingham amongst some of Great Britain's best tumblers. To get to this point Ella had already became Welsh champion back in february which gained her a spot in the semi finals. She then had to compete against the top 2 gymnasts from each of the 12 regions across the country for a place in the top 8. After finishing in 7th position Ella secured her place in the finals where she then had to compete against the top 8 gymnasts in the country at her level.
This was already such an amazing achievement for Ella and for our club. Ella performed fantastically and completed her 3 tumble runs doing herself and her coaches very proud.
After such a great competition Ella managed to finish in 4th position! A huge congratulations and well done to Ella for working so hard to achieve these results. You have done Deeside Gymnastics Academy very proud!
